Jasper Hale did not lie to anyone. However, Alice in the "New Moon" book, DID lie to him while her and Bella were on the plane to Italy to try and save Edward. She had told Jasper that no matter what she would make it out alive. She lied because she didn't want him to follow her to Italy and get himself killed. She wasn't sure if she and Bella were going to make it out or not and she didn't want to risk her husbands life in the process.
