LEGO Star Wars III is a popular game right now. It is offically rated as appropriate for ages ten and up. The reason for this is that it is considerably more violent than previous versions of the game.
LEGO Star Wars began in 1999. This is also the same year in which LEGO Star Wars toy sets were also released.
In the year I wrote this answer (2011), Lego Star Wars is 12 years old.
Lego Star Wars is already out! It's been around for over a decade, where have you been?! (Only joking). You can buy Lego Star Wars off Lego.com, Amazon, and don't forget eBay is a great option for older sets!
It's coming near the end of 2011, and there have been some great Lego Star Wars releases this year. I've had a sneak preview of the Lego Star Wars sets coming out in 2012, and they are so cool! The theme should continue as it is one of the highest Lego selling themes ever! :)
There are large numbers of Lego Star Wars toys on the marketplace right now. Depending on the child's skill level and pricepoint, the options really vary. One popular idea is to pair a Lego Star Wars kit with the Lego Star Wars Brickmaster book - which shows schematics of many popular Star Wars builds.

Not sure but see the related link below for more information.
The first series in the Lego Star Wars line was released in 1999. The first few sets were created based on the first Star Wars Triology. Lego Star Wars celebrated its 10th year anniversary of release in August 2009.
I asked this to the creators of star wars last year at the Chicago comic con and they said they like their relationship with Lego .. and they avoided my question by telling me they have over 100 books.. so your guess is a good as mine, but I foresee Star wars to continue until the last book is written.. Chicago comic con.. go to the near comic convention and if star wars is there... you can ask them yourself...
I don't think that LEGO Star Wars III would be suitable for a 5 year old since the game itself is rated 10+. The gameplay has an actual storyline that a 5 year old might not care about, but that is actually important to playing the game itself.
im editing this answer. i would say to get him a PS2 star wars game. such as the Lego star wars or star wars racing game. but the star wars racing game is old so if you want that one good luck finding it... yeaa, your welcome.
