My dictionary defines cogitate as follows:
"think deeply about something; meditate or reflect."
In my opinion, this is incorrect in part.
For me, the word cogitate means think deeply.
Meditation has *nothing* to do with thinking.
Meditation is about awareness, about that which lays
beyond mind, beyond thought, beyond feeling.
So, no, do not confuse meditating with cogitating.
Why not find a meditation technique that "feels right"
and give it a try for a while?
