Is meiosis the cell division in eukaryotes that produce somatic cells?

No, meiosis is the cell division that produces sex cells. Mitosis is the cell division in eukaryotes that produce somatic cells.

How do Meiosis and Mitosis differ?

Mitosis produces Somatic Cells while Meiosis produces Gametic Cells.

Is samotic cell both mitosis and meiosis?

Somatic cells undergo mitosis. Sex cells undergo meiosis.

Cell type which undergoes process meiosis?

Germ cells undergo meiosis to form the gametes.

What type of cell undergose meiosis?

Meiosis only occurs in sex cells, which are the sperm and egg cells. Mitosis occurs in the somatic, or body, cells.

Mitosis happen's where?

Mitosis happens in the body cell'sIt happens in somatic cells. Only sex cell producing cells undergo meiosis

What cells carry out mitosis?

Only somatic/autosomal cells. Sex cells or cells of the germ line undergo meiosis.

What is created by the each mitosis and meiosis processes?

Mitosis results in the formation of more somatic cells and meiosis creates haploid cells for gametophytic stage

What is created by each of the processes mitosis and meiosis?

Mitosis results in the formation of more somatic cells and meiosis creates haploid cells for gametophytic stage

Why don't somatic cells go through meiosis?

They all have the same type of cell

What cell begins meiosis and mitosis?

The process of meiosis always begins with diploid cells. The chromosomes in the cells divide, so the result is four haploid cells.
