St. Paul is located directly on the Mississippi River where it is joined by the Minnesota River flowing in from the southwest. The city center is located on the east bank(north side) of the Mississippi, with West St. Paul and South St. Paul on the west bank (south side).

The "twin city" of Minneapolis is located immediately west of St. Paul on both sides of the Mississippi.

Saint Paul is the capital city in Minnesota. The city is on the east bank of the Mississippi River and adjoins Minneapolis.

Saint Paul is the capital city in Minnesota. The city is on the east bank of the Mississippi River.
