Somatic cells or body cells perform mitosis.

Either sex cells or body cells. Sex cells perform mieosis, and body cels perform mitosis.
Meiosis is responsible for dividing sex cells (sperm and egg cells) into four non-identical haploid cells. It is not involved in dividing body cells, which go through mitosis for growth, repair, and maintenance of the body.
Mitosis results in two identical daughter cells, each with the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. These daughter cells are genetically identical to each other and to the original parent cell.
All the cells that divide in your body, except for sex cells, which divide through meiosis, divide by mitosis.
