Yes. When we speak of our star, it is "the Sun". Other solar systems each have their own suns, but ours is special - to US. Our Moon is capitalized, where the moons of other planets - or moons in general - are not.
It's a little odd, have a proper noun for generic terms like "sun" and "moon", but when the ancients gave them those names, they didn't realize that the stars were other suns, and that most planets would have moons. Even the Earth has a generic name; "earth" means "dirt".
yes the moon is visible when the sun is up
the sun forguve moon and the lived hapilly ever after
no
the sun forguve moon and the lived hapilly ever after
No it is not likely.
The moon only reflects the sun's light.
Well, to put it simply, we die. The sun will never be between the Earth and moon. Not ever in our lifetime. Plus the sun would engulf the moon and Earth, destroying it.
A solary eclipse is when the moon gets in front of the sun (black sun) A lunary eclipse is when the moon is on the opposite side of the earth than the sun where there is no light what so ever (black moon)
Don't ever ask that again.
If you look at the bright part of the Moon, that is where the Sun is shining so it has to be day. But away from the Sun the sky still looks dark.
The phases of the moon are the result of the ever-changing positions of the Earth, moon, and sun relative to one another. When the moon and the sun are on opposite sides of the earth (whereby the sun, earth, and moon form a straight line), a full moon occurs. When the moon and sun are on the same side of the earth (whereby the sun, moon, and earth form a straight line), a new moon occurs.
the moon is the closet anybody has been
