Yes, some of it is dark red. All of your muscles, and blood surrounding your organs and bones and vessels go up to the heart and out to the body. Blood leaving the heart is oxygenated so its bright red. Blood heading back to the heart is dark red or free of O2. Your liver is brown, intestines are tan, spleen is dark red, heart is dark red, thyroid bi-lat are brown... cant remember the kidneys and pancreas. Brain is grayish / off white. Now your skin is the largest organ and that is anywhere from a light tan / pink / yellow / light brown to dark brown. bones are white, adipose (fatty tissue) is yellow / light tan. tendons are white
