South Korea has been demoratic since 1986.
No just North Korea and South Korea is still non communist
Yes.
north korea still controls north of the 38th paralull and south korea still controls south of the 38th paralell
NO. They are in an open state of war with only an armistice keeping them from fighting again. The border between North and South Korea is the most militarized border in the world.
"Relationship" is a big stretch concerning these two countries. North Korea is in poor shape comparatively speaking. It is existing in a mode similar to that which caused the second world war. South Korea is a peaceful country that is on its way to being a world leader in production, technology and trade. Y-THINK-Y
North and South Korea never officially ended the war
Because the communists were successfully stopped; and the Republic of South Korea still exists today.
Communist North Korea and Non-Communist South Korea are still separated at the 38th Parallel by the Armistice signed in 1953.
The world was shown that communism could be stopped. And that communist aggression would NOT be tolerated.
The Korean War is not over. It is only a truce. An Armistice means truce. The North Koreans maintain a much larger army than South Korea, so South Korea needs the additional US soldiers to maintain military supremacy on the peninsula.
