Is nylon renewable resource

Renewable resources come back by themselves to be used again, like water and sunshine.

So nylon, a by-product of fossil oil, is not a renewable resource.

However, some grades of nylon are produced from castor oil, a renewable resource, and there is growing interest in such materials. Suppliers of renewably resourced nylons include Arkema, BASF, Rhodia, DuPont, Evonik, DSM and Fujitsu.
