As far as the act of shaving goes, I am sure it is fine.

In the cultural aspect, I'm sure that if you share this information with people you will get a strange look, though most people do take time to at least keep their body hair in check.

However, I would suggest you consider the reasons you have hair there and the consequences of shaving it.

If you are talking about shaving near your anus, I would highly suggest not doing that. You have hair there for a reason (body's defenses against invasive objects) and the skin is very sensitive. One mishap with your razor could leave you bleeding for hours and given the location of the spot you are shaving, you have a high chance of getting a really nasty infection.

If you are talking about shaving your "butt cheeks", consider this: The more you shave hair, the faster and thicker it comes back. Do you really want a hairier butt? If you shave it once, you'll have to shave it again and again which will just build up the hair follicles and leave you with a massive amount of thick, coarse hair.
