Is one being a 'bad' boyfriend when his girlfriend tells him that he's too soppy and too sensitive and that it wrecks her head?

Most deff!!! When the boydfriend is too clingy and lovey it can be overwhelming and anoying. Love is great but when you get too much of something you don't want it anymore. As in my case, he suddenly became this way nad now he feels as if it always has to be just the two of us, if she is letting the boyfeind know its unwanted- stop before it becomes a burden to her, give her space then she will come running for it when its least expected.

if your too lovey for her, then possibly your not suited, as much as you can adapt and change, you wont become a new person, and i certainly don't agree that you are a "bad boyfriend" for showing a lot of love, most girlfs would KILL for that, you just ask them!

if you need to show love a lot, you should be with someone who likes to be shown this a lot.

i wasnt a lovey showy person until i was with my boyf who likes to show this a lot(emotionless most of the time, over affectionate the rest), i found that i WAS a lovey person and only changed because its who i was underneath.

its also possible you have issues which make you clingy without your actually being lovey which is a different thing, it means some problem could have made you this way and you cant get over it properly, and maybe you need some counseling to stabalize your emotional problems.

BUT your girlf will have to be willing to help you and be patient with you if you decide to do something about it

even so, i think if your girlf doesn't understand that this is you then you should think about finding someone else.

i think its likely she loved it at the beginning, all that attention is fantastic, but she may now have realised she cant live with it all the time and if you are happy with the way you are then its really her problem!
