As I'm experiencing orange hair right now thanks to trying to go platinum blonde from auburn red..I can help you a little. I have sat in the sun with a mixture of lemon juice and conditioner on my hair (Dove intense therapy is awesome) and not only did it do wonders for my hair, it lightened the orange tones somewhat. Lemon juice will gradually lighten your hair.
