Depends on the kind of paint:
oil based paint will dissolve in, or at least mix with kerosine,
water based will not (e.g. alkyds)
Xylene, Toluene, paint thinners etc. Not soluble in alcohol or water.
Kerosine
Kerosine (sometimes spelt kerosene) is a mixture of hydrocarbons that is a fraction from the fractional distillation of petroleum extracted between 150 and 200 0C. See wikipedia -fractional distillation for a diagram of an industrial fractionating column
Turpentine is only soluble in organic solvents. However, it is insoluble in water since it is usually in form of oil.
soluble
Oil based paint Is paint is soluble in kerosene. Water based will not mix
Yes
arinjuda
Wax is not soluble in alcohol but is partially soluble in kerosene oil.
Yes it is.
kerosine
Ionic compounds are those which form ions when dissolve in water.water is ionic compound because when it dissolve in water it ionizes in to H+ and OH-Therefore ionic compounds are soluble in water. Ionic compounds are not soluble in kerosine oil because there is covalent bond in it. THANKS FOR WATCHING BY FARIDA REHMAN.
Acrylics and temperas are water-soluble paints.
Oil based paint is not water soluble and so needs paint thinner to clean the brushes etc.
