This depends upon what you think a manicure is. Many would say no, and that you have to file and soak your nails and pamper your hands for your hand treatment to be a manicure. a manicure is when you get your nails done by a professional. they don't add on fake nails, they just clean up your natural nails and paint them for you. it is not bad for you at all, unless you count inhaling all the fumes from the nail polish. but i really don't. a pedicure is like the same thing, except they paint your toe nails.
