A paradigm is your window to reality.
Not only with certain size (reality is truncated),
but also with a specific filter (reality is filtered).
Consider it as a branch of the tree 'evolution'. A branch might be healthy or sick.
Most users of a paradigm don't realize that there are completely different paradigms.
They think that what they sense and interprete is sensed and interpreted in the same way by people from other cultures
Their argument is that there is only one scheme behind reality, and that this scheme is 'rational'. And that all views can be reduced to the same 'rational' view.
Frustratingly arrogant.

The way someone sees something i.e. someones perspective of something.
Your paradigm is who you are today based on "data" you have collected through out your whole life. Its your morals, confidence, behavior, knowledge, actions, everything. So, to change your paradigm you would basically have to change some aspect of you. For example: Let's pretend you are a computer and your paradigm is your software. The computer can only display the information to the capacity of the software. So, if you want the computer (you) to do something different, you will need to change your software (paradigm). There are people that specialize in coaching and helping people through this process. If you go to www.ashchi.com you can sign up for a couple of free sessions.

Disfunctional.

Since then the Western World is living in the Rational Paradigm, also called Western Scientific Paradigm, with myths like , 'consciousness', 'understanding'. 'intelligence',....
