Actually, no one really knows what Pete Townshend was "born" into. During his career as lead guitarist for The Who he did however, show some interest into various religions. Personally, I myself think that no one is really born into a religion and therefore the answer to anyone being born a Catholic would have to be no. But that is my opinion (woops).

∙ 13y agoPete Townshend has never really had any religious beliefs. He did get into spirituality, especially in the late 1960s. He became a great supporter of Meher Baba, an Indian mystic and spiritual master, and incorporated some of his ideas into The Who's lyrics. Examples of this include the Tommy album, the song 'Bargain' and also 'Love Reign O'er Me'.
