Phenylephrine HCl is a prescription drug not approved for use in animals by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but prescribed legally by veterinarians as an "extra-label drug" - the veterinary use of a drug in a manner for which it was not approved.

If you really feel that your dog needs this medication, I strongly suggest you talk to your vet first.
