They can wear dress pants with a long sleeve dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and dress shoes...more square toed than round. This look is a little preppy but not too preppy... just normal.

You don't have to skate to dress like a skater. Skater clothing is kind of like a fashion category now (girly, preppy, geeky, chic, etc.) I dress skater and I can't even stand on a skateboard without falling.
