Another similar question was for a 1992 MPV and they said its under the passenger side floor carpet. Remove th kick panel and the runner thing that covers the edge of the carpet and you should see it if it is the same as the 92.

I seem to have found it located under the front passenger side carpet like the 92. I wiggled the wires and the van started. These will cost you $90.00 at the Mazda dealership so I sugest shucks or the wrecking yard.
Either 3 or 4 depending on which motor you have. Count your spark plug wires then you'll know.

They used a few of them. Open the cover, count the teeth on the big gear ( the ring gear ) next count the teeth on the small gear ( the pinion gear). Divide the big gear by the little gear and that is your ratio.
