Lumber, pulp and paper.
Pulp & Paper
Tissues are typically made from wood pulp, which is a type of pulp derived from wood fibers. The wood pulp is processed and pressed into thin sheets to create tissues. Lumber, on the other hand, is used for making products like furniture, construction materials, and paper, but not for tissues.
Wood- for lumber to build things- and wood pulp- to make paper. There are other products, such as turpentine, mulch, compost- but lumber and paper are the largest portion.
USA, includes Raw Logs, lumber, paper and pulp.
Timber for construction, wood for furniture and wood pulp for the paper industry are just three examples.
Forest based products such as Lumber, timber, wood pulp and paper are some of the products manufactured in BC, Canada
Lumber byproducts, such as paper, planks, boats, and furniture.
Wood pulp is the basis for all types of paper products. For example, the Oxford Paper company in Maine takes logs from the forests of Maine, crushes them into pulp and makes the paper for the National Geographic Magazine and a variety of other products from toilet paper to newspaper to cardboard. Although most paper is made from wood pulp, some paper is made from other resources such as grasses, cotton and other textiles.
Pulp and Paper meant that logs were not being export raw as they are today. By processing the resources in Canada value is added to the exports making Canada richer than if they just exported the resource in it's raw form. This is why today most countries trading with Canada want the raw resources, they want the logs, not pulp or paper.
