No, they are not synonymous. An inspection is part of quality control and serve the purpose of finding a defect in a product or service or in the process of making it or providing it (some could used it to verify it is a good product or process and make it a positive evaluation). Quality control is much bigger; it includes the inspections and reporting. It might include some type of enforcing/follow up of corrections (some could could also use it to encourage continuance of the good parts of the process).

What is quality control?

Quality Control is generally recognized as the form of "control" that is based on inspection with the "quality police" making the quality. This is the forerunner of quality assurance where one should build a system that aims to remove the need for inspection by removing the possibilities for error. Prevention rather that detection

Difference between quality inspection and quality control?

Usually there is no difference. But both terms have slightly different meaning in different circles. Inspection means checking the characteristics of a product to ensure that conformity to a set of specifications is met. Sometimes it means checking 100% of a batch of product; sometimes it means checking only some samples (in that latter case, it is exactly the same as "statistical quality control". Quality control usually means only checking the conformity of products already made. It comprises inspection and other tests such as labtests. Some people use quality control to designate some more upstream activities that aim at preventing quality issues (usually these activities are called "quality assurance"). For an idea of a standard inspection procedure, see http://www.sofeast.com/PSI_procedure_17feb09.pdf.

What are the points about the concept of quality control and inspection of a rubber products manufacturing unit?

The application of the concept of Quality Control and Inspection for a rubber products manufacturing unit would consist of: 1.Receiving Inspection -- to assure the product/material received meets the required specifications before it is manufactured. 2. In-process Inspection (On-going basis)- to assure the parts 3. Finished Goods Inspection (to ensure any secondary operations are performed to specifications and that product meets all requirements) This is the inspection side. Keeping all of this in mind, the concept of quality is to ensure the product is manufactured correct the first time. If you have a more specific question you'd like answered and can provide more details on specific aspects of quality, I'd be happy to help.
