well, it depends on how fast your heart is going. take my case for example. My heart would get over 300 BPM for no apparent reason. I talked to a cardiologist and I had to have an ablation. it turns out that I had 5 pathways in my heart that the signals could travel through again to speed up my heart. it didn't hurt but i was a little sore for the next day or two. the next week i was even playing in band again! so I say to talk to a cardiologist and make sure to drink a lot of water! that was the other part of my problem. if you don't drink enough water, then your heart has to work harder to pump the blood and may cause rapid heartbeat (tachycardia).

Hope this helps!
