Fiction not-fact movies and parapsychological thrillers and tv series and computer games have invented dozens of new beliefs with distorted meanings for ancient words, so if you like to watch movies and DVDs etc., even Science Fiction with a whole lot of religions and old words distorted into new meanings, in this example, yes, there IS a pseudoscience going around with people talking about such things as reincarnation, e.g. some people believe the movie stars interviews when an interviewer says: "what is your next incarnation about?" and the movie star smiles for the cameras, right profile please and says: "oh it's about cowboys and indians". They say its' an incarnation, but all they mean is their next movie-role, and it is NOT about incarnations and reincarnations in the CONTEXT of ancient religious teachings.
If you talk to a Buddhist Monk, or with a Hindu, or with some Western seekers of Truth, or with the people of the Association of Research and Enlightenment who are based in Virginia Beach, USA; or with some others who sometimes call themselves New Age adherents, well, they would tell you what the truth of reincarnation as a real spiritual principle, yet, between each of these, some differences are there since we are limited by time: e.g. 50 years to study all of these religions is fair enough but someone that only studied reincarnation and karma for 1 year would not explain it as well. The Hare Krisna people would teach or give books. Libraries have books there that should enlighten or help the seeker gain wisdom. In the religious sense, no, reincarnation is NOT a pseudoscience. Its' a huge subject, so I cannot explain fully in this Wikianswer. Take care, be good, and be respectful, and be LOVED. SOMEONE, somewhere, loves you very much. Maybe it's your deceased Granny.
