Generally we don't talk in terms of a student repeating a grade in high school. They usually have to repeat all of the courses they have failed, including 'D' grades at a few schools. If the student failed all classes or dropped out during the year, he would have to re-enter high school at that year. The Army has a high school completion program and I suspect the Marines also have one.

Most school districts will test and evaluate you before you reenter the public school system. If you are up to pace with your current grade, then you will not have to go back to a grade lower than your age level.
That will give you a 50%. Pull that grade up!!!
