Seriously? Of course not. It's a criminal offense for which the fines get higher and higher. If you have a driver's license, you need to surrender it to the DMV immediately. Rarely are traffic violations criminal in nature, unless it causes damage or injuries (other than reckless driving or DWI/DUI), but stopping for a red signal is one of the most basic "rules of the road." In most states, it is considered a violation if you enter the intersection after the signal facing you has changed to red, and in many states your vehicle must be completely "clear" of the opposite side of the intersection to avoid a red-light violation. Even emergency vehicle drivers are supposed to stop for red lights, but unlike the rest of us, they can go when it is safe to do so, rather than waiting for the green light.
