Is running an air conditioner condensate line to drain in the shower against code and can it cause a health problem because of the dirty water and mold that forms?

I can`t tell you about codes in your area, but my central ac drains to the shower in the basement bathroom and I have no problem with it. Who says the water is dirty and mold forms? The water draining out is condensed from the water vapor in the air from the home ( is that dirty?) and if the unit is installed and maintained properly the drain will flow freely without mold or bacteria issues as mine does.
