Rust is not poisonous. I remember being told if you step on a rusty nail you will have to get a tetanus shot, but apparently its not the rust that causes tetanus, it's a type of bacteria, and any cut can cause tetanus if the bacteria enters your body.

Rust is non-living. Pure iron reacts with the oxygen in the air by an electrochemical reaction when wet to form Fe2O3, also known as iron (III) oxide. Rust is can dissolve into the air and water when hydrated, causing the object to crumble. This is why rusted objects fall apart.

No, because rust comes from weather ware and damage.

Or yes because rust requires oxygen to live, it spreads and grows, it likes damaged surfaces. Rust must be removed entirely to be controlled. Rust is also a bi-product of life. Based on observation only.

It is best if you do not get it on opencuts or any open areas such as eyes, wher it can enter your body or even blind you.

i think the worst part is you can get infected by chlostridium titanae and die from tetanus. rusted metals lying on the ground are the best sources of tetanus infection

No. Rust is corrosion. It is the chemical reaction between iron, water and air. It can be removed, but the surface must be painted to prevent water and air from coming into contact with the metal. Sand, prime and paint and you should be fine.
