The notation S1 is not used for diamonds -- SI[#] is used -- slightly included, and I[#] is used -- included.

The number indicates a count of the visible flaws in a diamond under a 10x magnification.

'Pretty clear' can be used to describe most any gemstone, and is a judgement call, you being the judge.

Is a genuine clean diamond worth as much as a genuine diamond?

I think you are asking if a natural clean diamond is worth as much as a natural diamond that is Not considered clean? The answer is no. A clean diamond means that it is clear from imperfections. Now this can mean clear to the naked eye, or clear under a microscope. Of course the diamond that is clear under the microscope is much worth more than a diamond that is only clear to the naked eye.

Is a diamond real if there is a diamond symbol on the ring?

The only real way to tell if a diamond is real is to let someone look at it that knows what they are looking at. They can tell you if it is a genuine diamond and tell you what quality it is. There are tons of imitations. There are diamond testers that pretty well for about $100.00 also. If the ring is inexpensive and the diamond looks clear not yellow with no visible imperfections, clouds, or black dots; then that sounds too good to be true. I'll attach a little more info about diamond quality as a resource.
