If by salad you mean like lettuce and carrots then it is ok to feed them be careful with bunnies by giving them very small amounts because if they get too much it causes them to have dyeria because their stomach cannot take it.
No, you can not feed rabbits lettuce because it gives them gas and them can not pass gas, vomit or burp so it makes them very uncomfortable.
YES Rabbits can eat lettuce but it must be romaine lettuce.
Rabbits can eat fresh leafy greens daily, between one and three cups worth (of packed greens, per 5lb body weight). Rabbits graze on hay all day and night, but they get hungry for heartier food (greens and high-quality pellets) in the morning and in the evening. See the related question below for more info and helpful links.
Baby rabbits can eat lettuce and it is very good for them, but not until 12 weeks of age. A huge portion of their diet should come from vegetables by then. Young baby rabbits should be fed strictly pellets and should be available at all times.
Not iceburg lettuce but dark, leafy romaine is great!
Yes, very healthy it contains water, so yes feed him lettuce
No.
Lettuce will scour a rabbit.
In extreme cases it will cause death.
Iceberg lettuce can NOT cause a rabbit death but it has no nutrients value and it COULD get your rabbit sick. Overall, iceberg lettuce for your rabbit should be avoided.
Lettuce!! NEVER EVER feed a rabbit lettuce
It is OK to give ANY rabbit a small amount of lettuce as a treat only, anytime. The only rabbit who can eat as much lettuce as they want is the wild rabbit who has access to herbs and minerals to counter balance the lettuce. Domestic rabbit owners should remember the tale of Peter Rabbit and what happened to him when he ate too much lettuce in Mr. MacGregor's garden.
NO.
This one is a pretty good one: There is a rabbit sitting outside a lettuce field that has a fence around it. It can hardly squeeze through the gate so if it goes in and eats the lettuce it won't be able to get out and it really desperately wants the lettuce. How can he get it? Answer: He simply goes in, pulls the lettuce to the edge of the fence, squeezes back out and eats the lettuce through the fence. Simple?
No. The rabbit only uses a fraction of of the energy. As a general rule of thumb, 90% of the energy in an animal's food goes to waste.
I gave some lettuce to my rabbit to nibble on. I planted some lettuce, carrots and tomatoes in the garden.
Some lettuce is poisonous to rabbits and can cause stomachaches. some lettuce can even be fatal.
