saliva helps in decomposition.left over rice, wheat, fruits[carbohydrates]on soil can be easily converted to its simpler form by saliva because it has more enzhmes like amylase, lysozymes which makes the decomposition process faster than normal.to my knowledge i thinkthat it is good tosplit saliva in mud but not in roads.

saliva is an acidic because it helps break down food before you swallow it
There are three main types of saliva: serous saliva, mucous saliva, and mixed saliva. Serous saliva is watery and contains enzymes that help break down food. Mucous saliva is thicker and helps lubricate food for easier swallowing. Mixed saliva is a combination of both serous and mucous saliva, which aids in digestion and protects the mouth.
