yes, you must survive on an island. think lost in blue, the game is similar. you create your sims, then they start partying on a boat, and soon, it crashes. You must harvest materials and "taste-test" plants and fruits. some are poisonous, some are edible. You can build shelters, cook, and basically try and get home.

If you would like to go home, you will need to make a catamaran. There are no more islands other than this one except for Crystal Island. You can get there at West Beach( second island) or at pier beach ( first island). you unlock this island by fixing the thing at the temple( i forgot what its called but you need logic, and body and mechanical). I'm guessing you mean Castaway. It is where you and some other sims are castaways on a deserted island. Kind of like a sims gilligands island if you will. You can swim and dive to find small tresures. Go all over the island and discover new areas. It is somewhat interesting but really boring at times. You can build some things but it is not like houses or anything like that. This is more of a discovery game than anything.

I am guessing that Volcano Island is the third island (I am at work). Remember on the first island were you were able to make a boat? It looked like a boat port. There is another one on the second island. If you walk up to it, the SIM will then get the option to build a canoe. You must have all options as full as possible to actually be able to use it.
