TITIT001">TITIT001r u jokin? i thought snakehead was th last! r u sure u hav the right series? in the alex rider series by Anthony horowitz, snakehead is the last!NEWCASTLERULES
I haven't actually read it yet, but it says 'Alex rider'on the front and on the inside cover it says in the author's comments 'this is the eighth Alex Rider novel - and it seems amazing that it's been ten years since I sat down and wrote stormbreaker'. It is definitely by Anthony horowitz. it also says in the blurb: 'New years eve in Scotland and for once Alex Rider is enjoying a normal life. But then he meets Desmond McCain, the dynamic chief for an international charity, First Aid, and what starts as a simple card game rapidly becomes a duel to the death. Suddenly Alex Rider is in more danger than every before and his life is threatened without even knowing why. Things get worse when he is confronted by a journalist...'
I also belived that snakehead was the last in the alex rider series, but I have the book in front of me now, so it must not be.

Originally, Yassen was to follow Snakehead as the eighth book, and would be the final Alex Rider novel. However, Horowitz rethought this idea, following negative responses during school visits. Crocodile Tears was instead released as the eighth book, in November 2009. This will be followed by Yassen and then by the tenth and last book, which could be named Endurance Point making for a series of ten books.
