yes it most definitely CAN be a sign of pregnancy. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and I had my period the first month of pregnancy (see that happens too) but then I started feeling really nauseaus but instead of vomiting I had diarrhea, but it wasn't EXACTLY common diarrhea. It was like all of a sudden I had to go, but it wasn't "juicy" it was just "looser" than normal. This has continued the entire I've been pregnant. I personally prefer this to vomiting, but some medications are helpful and not harmful to you child. Spotting is not an indicator of twins. Many women with a single fetus spot during the first trimester.
