Christian Response

That depends entirely on what you believe. Can you turn a page of a book on the Sabbath, can you drive a car on the sabbath?

It depends on what you consider work. Now on the other hand. I know of someone who was a Jew that said it was ok to do anything that was for the Good of you or others on the Sabbath. That Jew was Jesus Christ.

Its up to what you believe and what your family believes.

I believe the Sabbath was made for man, in my own mind, the thing I think we should not do is "work" for a paycheck if we can avoid it.

But the answer is very subjective to what you believe as a Jew even some Christians try not to work on the Sabbath (although they consider it Sunday)

Jewish Response

So long as your study does not involve writing or using electronic devices, such as a computer, there is no issue in doing so on Shabbat.

Why did Jesus change the sabbath day from 1st to 2nd?

He didn't. Firstly, you've got the numbers wrong: the Jews celebrate the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday. Christians instead meet on Sunday, which is the first day of the week. Jesus didn't change the "Sabbath", his followers did... and not immediately; the ones among them who had been Jews kept observing the Sabbath, but they also met on "the Lord's day", Sunday, because that was the day on which Jesus rose from the dead. It wasn't until there were a substantial number of non-Jewish Christians (who had no tradition of observing the Sabbath at all) that Sunday became predominant.

Why Don't people believe in Sabbath?

Some people are workaholics who believe resting is "wrong and bad".Answer:Sabbath days are established by religions for their followers or believers, As a consequence those who are not members of that religion would not observe that specific sabbath day. Some people belong to no religion, have no religious affiliation or belong to philosophies that have no sabbath days. In that case they would not have to observe any sabbath day.

What day was the Sabbath Day for Saint Peter?

The Sabbath day for Peter was the seventh day of the week, the same sabbath day that Jesus kept and the other apostles. In Acts 16:13 we read that Paul went to the riverside on the sabbath day to pray to God. He wanted to retreat from the city and be in a quiet place with God on the sabbath. Thus showing that the apostles still kept the seventh day sabbath as per the 4th commandment.
