It is, however to be used alongwith McAfee or Norton ( An Antivirus software ) It has a database of 1,360,000 Spyware signatures and constantly updates its database. I had issues with Spyware not being caught by McAfee and PC Tools caught and removed it. It is also beneficial in stopping malicious scripts and shell hook programs, which are easier to detect but hard to remove.
