The H1N1/09 virus is still circulating in many parts of the world (including the US) in early April 2012, even though the pandemic has been declared over. It has never completely stopped since early 2009 just as different strains of seasonal flu circle around. However, due in part to the effective vaccination programs around the world against the H1N1/09, there are no epidemics, only isolated outbreaks here and there which will be expected to continue as long as there are those who do not get the annual vaccinations.
