No. You should give your hermit crabs distilled water. You can easily find distilled water at a grocery or convenience store in big jugs. Or you could buy water for hermit crabs at pet stores.

Hermit crab salt is not suitable, as it contains no salinity despite the name. Ocean salt provides necessary nutrients and salts that many species of hermit crabs require, and all require it to help with the molting process.
