It's also possible that you don't really mean tea in the usual sense, but are referring to the essential oil of the tea tree Alternifolia melaleuca, which is not the same plant that tea (in the "Lipton" sense) comes from. It's just barely possible that using a shampoo containing that might have some slight impact. At the least it'll make your scalp tingly; it contains a compound that's a lot like menthol.
