To differ with opinion below in case the group comes back. Ours was the last class. : I was in the TeacherNex program. I did not pay them.The group in the office and former TeacherNex grads all seemed professional. It was New Pathways so expect age range. There was a stipend of $1,000 that we each received upon completion from the New Teachers Project. You still need the same state education credentials. It is a tough selection process to get in. Maybe 1 out of 10 get in. They do give references so we did get more chances to interview and recently signed a contract to work with a TeacherNex cohort. - Carlo Fiorletta Yes, it's a scam. They are having you pay them for a six week course to get you qualified to become a teacher in Newark, New Jersey! If you truly wish to be a teacher there, please call the New Jersey state government and actually get the real qualifications for teaching. These aren't a secret, they will tell you for free. And no, after four years of college, you don't need to pay someone on the net for a "six week course" to become qualified.
