Yes, it could be similar to fatal but is not the actual meaning. The word terminal means the end. A train line has a terminal as well as truck lines. We sometimes say that a disease is terminal and what it meant is that is the "end of the line."

What is a Battery terminal puller?

Battery Terminal PullersThough there are several brands, battery terminal pullers all work on the same principle and basically are similar to "gear" pullers, except smaller. They have a couple of "fingers," the tips of which grip underneath the bottom edge of the loosened battery terminal to be removed, and they have a threaded rod [acts like a push rod] which contacts the top of the battery terminal. When the finger "tips" are hooked beneath the terminal clamp, and the pusher/plunger is screwed inward, the fingers are pulled upward, pulling the battery terminal with them.To prevent damage to the battery terminal, the terminal clamp, and the puller it is critical that the locking screw of the terminal clamp be completely loosened before attempting to pull the clamp.

When is terminal velocity good?

Based on two classes' worth of research on terminal velocity I'd say it's good for keeping some falling objects from reaching a speed that will, literally, be "terminal" (fatal) to whomever it hits. I was researching the myth behind whether or not a penny dropped off a tall building will kill some unlucky pedestrian below. All of my sources say it's impossible for said penny to do more than sting the person (barring them being hit in the eye or them somehow swallowing it), and the reason for this is terminal velocity.
