There are two variants: The "far rim" and the "Near Rim".

Far rims are worth between $4 and $60. Near rims are worth between $2 and $33. In the future please add the condition of the coin so I can value it more precisely for you.

You have a Liberty head 5 cents piece - if it was minted in the year of 1912, its value in very good condition (VG8) is: $4.00; if its mint state is MS60, the value rises to: $85.00.

Two different nickels were issued in 1942. One was copper-nickel the other was 35% silver, the values are different. Post new question as to which one.
