The 351M/400 engines have "thin wall" castings and can not be safely over-bored beyond .040". This is probably the only real drawback.

yes, same bolt pattern. Chances are the 455 buick had a turbo hydromnatic 400 transmission, hopefully that is what your 350 had. If not, crossmember, driveshaft and linkage will all have to be modified or changed.

The Polaris 400 Sport can use any as a be certified motor oil. The manufacturer recommends a 10W-30 motor oil.
