Is the Belgian Malinois a good pet for lazy owners?

If you know you are lazy, don't get a pet. Simple as that. Pets need time and effort put into their lives and if they don't receive that, its not a fair life for them.

Is the Belgian Laekenois a good pet for people allergic to dogs?

Yes. Although its coat is not exactly like that of poodle or schnauzer, it is below-average shedding, compared with the crazy shedders like the Malinois (worst), Tervuren, and Gronendale. I love my Malinois but hate the shedding, especially in March, April, and June! Laekenois has all the virtues of a mal plus more! But it's very hard to find. Some people find it very protective, so if you can find a Laekenois and Poodle mix, that would be an all around dog you will have

It depends on what they are used for. A tracking dog - bloodhound Detection dog - Labrador patrol (bite dog) - Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, or German Shepherd Usually, it's not a particular breed, but bloodlines of a breed that are the best. Police dogs are usually bred specifically for the type of work that they will be performing. It's similar to breeding show winning dogs. You would use the best of the best for breeding, then take the ones from the litter that show the most promise, and start training from there.Other contributors have said:Usually, German Shepherds. What are good racing dogs not grey hounds?

In terms of speed, Whippets, Pharaoh Hounds, Afghan Hounds, Border Collies, Collies, German Shepherds, Salukis, Airedale Terriers, Belgian Malinois, are among some of the fastest dog breeds, in no particular order. But, in terms of trainability, I would not suggest the Afghan Hound, as it is considered to be the least intellectual of all dog breeds.
