Yes , they are created when a star implodes (opposite of Explodes) .And has a gravitational force strong enough to curve a beam of light into it.
Some also believe that black holes are at the center of every galaxy including our own and they have been inderectly observed as well. Also know as a singularity, their gravitational pull is so vast that not even light can excape...hence the term 'black hole'.
They were first inferred when astrologists noticed stars near the centers of galaxies rotating around a center at much higher speeds than should have been possible without something with the gravitational force as a black hole.

∙ 13y agoThis is an area in which many scientists have a plethora of theories. It is my understanding however on researching this subject that the big bang is most likely a collision of matter and antimatter, where matter free floated among anti-matter in the vacum of space were there is no matter nor ant-matter and eventually they collided. An explosion of that proportion could easily create this universe. I am not sure on what exactly the big bang was, yet to answer your question was it a black hole;

That's an absurd notion (no offense intended) as black holes absorb all types of matter without expelling any. It quite litterally rips the matter to shreds. So yeah, you were way off buddy.

Scientists have found stellar black holes and supermassive black holes but there is no prove that Intermediate-mass black type of black holes exist. A black hole can't really form inside of another black hole. If you think of a black hole forming after a star goes supernova, then there isn't really a star to go supernove inside of the already created black hole. In fact, there isn't even any space inside of the blak hole for anything to happen. Two black holes can join together, but they wil eventually go to one.
