The river that goes through Idaho and empties into the Columbia River is the Snake River. Itflowsabout 1,670 kilometers (1,038 miles) through southern Idaho. It has deep gorges and is an important source of hydroelectric power. Hydroelectric power is energy made from flowing water. :) Hope this helps you.~Ctmusicgirl7
I live in the wonderful state of Oregon, only about 20 miles from the Columbia. It originates in Canada, comes south into Washington and then makes a westward turn to form most of the state line between Washington & Oregon. It is the largest American river to flow into the Pacific and the 4th larges river in the USA. It's BIG & beautiful. Portland, Oregon is about 90 miles inland, but we get ships from the ocean because the river is deep enough to handle them.
No. They are saltwater fish and the Columbia River is fresh water. Actually your wrong about that....Bull Sharks are the only Sharks that can go from salt water to fresh water and they are looking for new feeding ground....Fact, one has already been spotted in our Oregon river's.
