No, the Crosley CR248 just to play, not for DJing. Their's a Crosley CR248 model that can transfer your old vinyls and cassettes in to CDs
DJ's use a turntable in DJ'ing. Actually, they use a double turntable, so that they can have the next record cued up while they are playing the current record.
Technics 1200/1210 turntable is the most famous piece of DJ equipment. This is only available in South-East Asian markets and costs around US$650 in the American price.

To start DJing some people find a mentor to help train them in the ways of DJing. You will also need a sound board, mixer, microphones, and speakers.
yes...
It can be, but it's not the most practical. The D202 has 10% pitch control, meaning that you can definitely use this for beat matching, but it has a pitch wheel rather than a traditional pitch fader. I don't believe these were made for DJing, but it would not be difficult to DJ with these, so long as you were pretty good at beat matching.
since 1994-Present
DJing can be a lot of fun and good equipement is a must! One good site which has reviews of DJ equipment is www.djbooth.net, it shows many different types of turntables, gives the specs on each one and has a review of each item. I would read as many reviews as possible and that should help you decide which is best for different needs.
No it is considered a hobby. No it is considered a hobby.
