Is the Dell Inspiron a good laptop?

The Dell Inspiron 1520 is pretty good. With 2GB of ram its a pretty good choice. The price is a factor though. HP offers a laptop at about the same ratings for a bit cheaper and a bigger screen. But it all comes down to preference though. With dell you do get performance but you are also paying for the name. My recomendation is to go for the HP way pretty good quality at a reasonable Price.

I own one Dell 1520 , which I think is pretty good just as above . However , I should recommend it according to my personal experience , but I had to say it is the 08 model , which is outdated in the context of 2009 .

i got one a couple of years ago & i absoutly hate it, i have had nothing but problems w. it. one after another, when i send it back they don't fix it! its horrible.The internet jams and and all you can do is wait, or close all the thing you work hard to get too! Then you gotta pay to get it fixed and isn't garrenteed to work! Just like throwing the money away! Other than that its fine!

Overall i think this laptop sucks. Battery lasts about 30 minutes. This doesn't annoy very many people but it is very loud. Breaks alot, I've only had my inspiron for 4 months and it broke 5 times already. It isn't worth it to pay that much money for it. The internet sucks. The only good thing i can find about this laptop that's good is that there is a hdmi port so if you have an hdmi cable and an hdmi port on your tv you can use the laptop on your tv, but it is better to get a dell inspiron 1524 or a inspiron 1526 they are cheaper and way better.

It depends on what you really need. The Inspiron series are great for basic needs such as Internet and documents, watching DVDs, and light gaming but if you try playing the newer games or more CPU-intensive programs, it will start to struggle.

The Dell Inspiron is a product line of laptops and desktops going back 11 years. It does not refer to any particular model. Like most product lines, the Dell Inspiron has had both good models and some rather poor models.

if your just going on the Internet and Microsoft office then yeah but it is poor for playing games
