Not without heavy modification. The '97s only had the 2.0 liter SOHC engine (same as most Neon's).
Had the same problem with my 1999 Breeze, all I had to do was spray the key 10w40.
A 1996 or 1997 Dodge caravan or Plymouth Voyager with the same engine size will have the same transmission.A 1996 or 1997 Dodge caravan or Plymouth Voyager with the same engine size will have the same transmission.
My 1998 Breeze did that same thing within the first two years I had it. It ended up being the head gasket needing replaced.
it might just need to be reset Ihave the same problem with my breeze
yes, they are the same engine. however the neons changed the electrical connectors in 1997 so if your breeze is 97 or up then try to get a neon motor from 97 or up. if you cant, then you will have to change all the sensors.
Engine and trans out the botom at the same time.
I don't have a photo of where it is located but I once had a 1997 Dodge stratus, about the same car and the battery is located right in front of the front driver's side wheel.
Radiator side of the engine, about the same height as the top of the oil pan.
if the engine is the same as you pulled out then yes it will fit there is a slight difference between engines if you pull a 2 0 replace it with the same if the engine is the same as you pulled out then yes it will fit there is a slight difference between engines if you pull a 2 0 replace it with the same
You may want to check the throttle Position sensor. I had the same thing happen on a 1997 Breeze and eventually it failed to the point that it dumped a code for the Trottle Position Sensor. I changed that and all was fine.
I have noticed the same thing, and when looking through other sites, I came across someone who listed his complaints about the car and that was one. I think it's just the way they're made.
