∙ 15y agoNo the Empire State Building is no longer the tallest building in the world, as of right now Taipei 101 is the tallest building in the world at 101 floors above ground and 5 below in Taipei, Taiwan. But there is another building that is currently under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates called Burj Dubai which is expected to be completed in September of 2009 with about about 160 habitable floors that will become the new tallest building in the world.

∙ 14y agoNo. The tallest building in the world is the Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower) in the city of Dubai in the Middle East. The Burj Dubai isn't even completed yet and it has already surpassed the height of the previous highest building. The Empire State Building ranks 15th tallest building (as of 2009.) That will change as soon as the Freedom Tower (now called One World Trade Center) is completed in a few years.
